Just wondering if anyone has swapped there turn signals into running lights? I 've seen some bikes with them and they really stand out.

I did it back in 99, find some old ZX11 front signals and use the sockets and then wire in the running light part to the spare connector by the headlamp.
on mine I have a euro switch so I can have just the running lights on with no headlight

Yes. Did mine.

Mine however I replaced the plug with an 1157 socket, purchased switchback LED's and wired into the Euro wire and the turn signal wires

When riding the lights are lit up white with a bluish tint, when I hit my turn signals the white LED's flash off while amber LED's flash on / off so I still have my turn signals also

If you have a stock taillamp harness around the sockets fit the front signals and you wire them the same way as the stock ones and just hook the extra wire to the euro connector brown wire. with an 1157 bulb.

holy crap, the switchbacks ain't cheap lol. Wish I could afford H.I.D. right now but i just blew some coin on a used UFO undertail and a shift skin for my boot. Next on the mod list though is definitely the H.I.D. and some switchback running lights

I am the proud owner of a 2007 busa. It is AWSOME!!! I love the look of the running light mod. I am comfortable being adventurous but am a little leary. For a newbie how hard is this mod and how long should it take?

easy mod to do if you have the parts, just pull the nose off and take the 1156 sockets out put the 1157's sockets in, hook up to the running light wire, the extra wire on the us of a busa's if i remember its a brown wire that does not hook to anything. if you have never pulled the front off it should take you around a hour. if you have then you know what to do to get it off, which would cut the time to about 20/30 minutes.

cut the 1156s wires and solider them onto the 1157 sockets, you will only have the ground and turn signal wire. the running light wire is seperate ,its the brown wire if i remember right that is not hooked up to nothing, it is in the nose piece. you will have to cut it , soldier it to the right side, run a secondary wire to the left side off of it and solider into the other socket. sounds hard but its not, i had the nose off mine the other day, should have took some pics.
you will need to know which wire is parking and which is running light on the 1157 sockets. just hook to a battery and test it before hooking up.

isn't parking and running the same distinction? Did you mean Running and turn instead?
