After 30 miles my pilotsport is doing this WTF?

It looks like it's raised rather than cracked, but I'm on my phone....

The picture is hard too see anything other than the line across the profile which looks like a crack to these old eyes..

Odd spot for one but hey, makes sense to me...go ride it, and ride it well.

Back on laptop vs phone . That is simply a tire mold left behind . It is of now concern . Do not expect great life from that model though due to soft compound . 2500 to 4000 miles would be on par . Rider weight , and how its ridden will be the overall deciding factor .

I was more astonished at seeing a Pilot Sport of that vintage, does Mr Michelin still make these? Never mind the OPs question...that induces merely a mild headshake.

That is something I have never noticed before in all my years of riding and changing tires...wow!
