ROTD: Fresh tomato 'n corn salsa

Tina loves my fresh salsa, so before making her breakfast, I gathered all the fixings and set to work....

...ready to be cut up!

6 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 red onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped to minced
1/2 white onion, chopped
bunch of cilantro, chopped to minced
1 lime, for the juice
1 can whole kernel corn, rinsed
1 can black beans, rinsed
fresh ground sea salt, to taste
fresh ground black pepper, to taste
sugar, to taste

My helpers this morning. They had to taste everything to make sure it was OK!

Here, they are tasting the onions. BTW, they *LOVE* onions! (I think I know how to keep the guys away in a few years!

Hey Omar, I make a similar salsa but I buy fresh corn that I then roast on the grill before de-cobbing (is that a word?) and adding to the rest. Talk about adding huge amounts of flavor!

Looks really good. I'm not one to eat salsa either.

Hope she loved it! So what else did she get??
 
I love homemade salsa - no need for chips, just a fork. I have some left over corn on the cob from Dan's last smoker meal on Saturday...it just might find it's way into some salsa.
