Road Repair With Bikes In Mind

Just wondering how many of you that ride on a daily is tired of road crews doing repairs to the roads and do not consider bikes cannot handle what other multi wheeled vehicles can handle (more than two wheels)

As far as I'm concerned every road has 2 lanes for bikes. Roads should be maintained regardless of the vehicle being operated.

BTW - what conditions can a cage handle that we cannot?

Metal cover plates, gravel, fresh tar/oil just to name a few. There has been a number of times that I went on a road that was under repair (chip and fill, fresh oil) and there was no warning signs, so you come around a corner and you are faced with this road condition. If anything at least have a better warning system about road conditions.
