Is there a recommended ring gap for a stock bore/compression turbo motor?

Should the top ring gap be opened slightly more than stock so that it will allow a little more expansion?

I would set them at .020,, im building a stroker turbo motor now!

If i remember right (been a couple yrs since replaced parts in mine) its .005-.007" per ever inch of bore
I like to go more on the high side

Have you read up on gapless rings? I didnt know they exsisited. I have used them in a 232CC alcohol motor on a 66MM piston.
Check out the site and research em.

I haven't read about those.... already have the rings so I'm not tossing these.

John would I just set this on the top ring or both? Seems like the bottom ring has alot more gap than the top.

Check both, but if they are oem rings, the second should be all set
