Riding with backpack?

I've use a variety, but I currently use a little cheap single strap pack from GAP. It's much more user friendly, especially when I'm wearing a leather jacket with padding. Also easier to swing around in front to retrieve cell phone without taking the pack off.

I have an Oakley... I'd suggest getting one that has a strap around your waist so that it doesn't shift around too much.

I had a nike one strap that was the one. It actually was a jordan basket ball bag but was perfect. It had the cell phone strap with an added bonus. In the small compartment it had a pull out net designed for basket balls that would fit a helmet! Its a hard find but if you can get you hands on one really worth it.

I run the suzuki back pack and thought it was awesome rode with it for 2000 miles stored mostly clothes my chain lube i had it pretty full and i never did feel over wellmed with it granted going into a full tuck with ones a bit diffrent cause they have a slightly harder back to them so they don't bend so nice but I liked it and still use it even on shorter trips where i don't want a tank bag granted i picked up a tail pack along the way on my trip and well that didn't work well combination i was always hitting the tail pack i got that to carry more stuff home with was the only reason

i just got a little cheap 2 strapper.. the straps work like a cinch at the top to hold the stuff in.. very simple, very light weight and if it gets lost/screwed/destroyed i'm out about 4 bucks... plus the top stays smaller than the bottom unless you over pack it so it's slightly more aerodynamic i suppose.. only use it on day long trips though.

do a search on this board,.. or maybe it was labusas... somebody was talking about a really cool backpack that was specifically designed for sport bikers... all cool looking and carbon fiber maybe aerodynamically ergonomically super duperly designed. .. good luck!

Use one that straps on top and on the waste. I don't think that the nifty looking hard packs are any more aerodynamic. Certaintly don't try to do 180 with the pack-pack on.

I don't know about that Ninja i blasted with mine up to 180 with my pack on and didn't have any probs but granted i don't i would do it again unless it was neccesarry

All appear to be saying.... Find one that meets your needs, aero'z do not come much into play as long as the pack is not HUGE.

I've got one from Moose Racing, meant for off road mototrekking. The straps do not slip at all, I used an ok off the reack pack from Target for a while, the straps kept slipping on me and I'd have to sinch them every time I stopped.

i use one from nelsonrigg.com they've got two styles available....a commuter and a touring pack. the shoulder straps are padded and has a waist strap that you can tighten (the touring pack). an added feature for the touring pack is that you can expand it almost twice its size. have used it for long trips and you don't even know that its on your back. hope this helps:)

.I have the Eddie Bauer from target. I use it ever day to ride to work. It has a camel pack the strapes on or off that I carry a gallon bottle of water in, it came with a bladder and a hose. It is a big pack with a lot of pockets. It also has padded straps that strap on the top and around the waist. It also has a ridged panel in the back to keep it from collapsing when not full. Cost around 50-60$$. I have had it for over a 1 1 /2 years and still holding up like new

i use a one strap bag ... easy to get into if i need to get something out of it quick.. no problem except at higher speeds. just need to make sure it is tight.

btw closing in on 500 posts..

i use a pack designed for rock climbing;it is very adjustable(for fit),doesn't move around at all,and has lots of compression straps;to keep it tight to your body when you don't have alot in it.i hardly know it is there, and it holds enough for extended trips.
