Riding up and down Mt. Washington

I don't no witch one is worse going up or down so going down do you put in 1ST GEAR AND RIDE it down or ride the brakes. if I went down that thing. I would be changing my brakes.including my pants

i use a combo of brakes and gears. First time i did this trip, half way up, I thot I was gonna have to be air lifted back down Now, every year i HAVE to make this trip and i ride it like a straight road...
