Bird 1300 here is the thing, I don’t like you!!!
KIDDING but I am jealous, that looks like a very enjoyable ride and the weather outside here is a frigid 36 degrees.
Awesome ride, beautiful photos and a hella nice bike. That bike is really clean and the red looks so good in the bright scenery. Thank you for sharing.
Took a lil ride today myself. Very nice out if a bit chilly. The lakes were very low.

Every year the Corp of Engineers pulls the lake down to a winter pool stage so they open the gates to get the level down. To answer your question, no it isn't always like this.

Thanks! I do need to do a c10 type cleaning on the bike though! Ha ha! By the way, Temp got to 66 degrees here today and the ride was wonderful!

How much of that mound in the center of the pic is normally under water?

All but the top of those two rocks. All the boat slips were laying on dry ground. Owners had pulled them out some time back. Lakes that are subject to damming control pull the plug so to speak, in late fall to hopefully ensure there’s enough capacity for the spring runoffs, like bird1300 said.

Yeah our largest man made lake here in Georgia supplies three states with fresh water. We have a dam on the lake that releases daily. There is even an old town at the bottom of the lake. Kinda interesting.
Very nice pictures and the bike looks great, I didn't see any dirt just a great paint combo.
Lovin it so far, under 300 miles, but I just got it yesterday afternoon. Kinda twitchy on/off throttle response at slow speeds but maybe that will smooth out. Not present above 5k. My Busa has a lil bit of that too though. Sure is a spirited mount, revs with ease and is geared for a rapid response!
You oughta see the tool kit.
Now, I know that tool kits are seldom if ever used but at least they're complete. This one consists of one allen wrench, one 17mm-14mm open end wrench, one screw driver handle and one ambidextrous screw driver ‘rod’. Period!

There’s a lake northwest of here called Lake Berryessa like that. The dam is named Monticello Dam after the town was covered over. Most of it was taken down but I've seen pics of some structures and other man made stuff at the bottom.
Naaah, I’m just back to two bikes. Was probably missing the CBX.
I guess you get used to having two....
This bike will be a good companion to the Busa as it is so different-good choice. Although I think you would have liked the Honda too.
