Replaced the nose fairing screens and installed HID's

I finally got around to replacing the lost nose fairing screen. I have no idea what happened to it. I lifted the tank and looked in the air box and ram air tube and it was nowhere to be found. And rather than take the other one out and run without them (and risk getting crap in or past my air filter), I decided to order a pair of new ones. I ordered a pair of black powdercoated ones from PPM customs for $22.

I knew I was going to have to pull the entire nose fairing off to install them, so I figured that would be a good time to install some HID's. After reading the sticky thread, I ordered the H7 and H9's from DDM tuning. Total cost of both bulbs, both ballasts, and shipping to my door was only $65.

Here is the tear down and end result. It's hard to see the black screens in the nose, but they look really sharp.

Having the nose fairing completely off the bike made installing the HID's a snap. Super easy to get them installed snugly, etc.
