I'm about to replace my chain and sprockets on my '02 Busa. Can anyone confirm the correct sizes?

Chain: 530, 112 links

Front Sprocket: 17 teeth

Rear Sprocket: 40 teeth

Thanks...

You are correct, 17/40...
However, you really need to change your Font color, it's difficult to read...

Thanks David,

Sorry about the font color (didn't know it was on light grey).

Would you know about the chain size? Is it a 530?

Thanks,

Wow, been awhile since you've been around? +1 on the font...
530 at 112 links will work, but depending on the brand and type, you might have to cut the chain (or have it cut) to 112 - most come in 115-120 links.
Now you'll just have to decide if you want aluminum or steel sprockets. Check with Street and Track or Ryder's Connection here, they take care of the members and have great prices on these items...

As this subject has been raised, and I am also in need of new chain and sprockets before my 3000 mile trip round Spain again next month.

Are there any recommendations members might have in type and make of sprockets and chain?

EK ZZZ Chain and Vortex or AFAM sprockets (for the common ones) and Sprocket Specialist for 18,19 th fronts.

Through my experiences of owning half dozen sport/sport-touring bikes and over 20
years riding, you're probably not going do anything better than the engineers.

Spending 10-20% more for after-market sprockets to shave a few ounces just don't cut it
with a 550 pound bike. I'd stick with stock parts (chain: RK GB530GXW)
