Just finished picking the first harvest from a three year old grape vine.

Last year this vine produced maybe one bunch of grapes.

This year is caught us by surprise and produced more than I can count.

Today alone we gathered 9 bags of the sweet fruit. They are totally organic grown with no pesticides used at all, not even natural ones. Water only, we were lucky to get them before the birds did. They are absolutely delicious!

I was going to make wine out of this years batch, but I was too late with getting everything ready. Next year for sure.

Has anyone made their own wine? Let me know if you have and give me some tips. Thanks

Here they are, I wish I had taken pictures of them when they were still on the vine, it was amazing.

Update!
The wife has decided to make grape jelly this year.

I will be making wine next year.

Anyone interested in futures for 2012?

But I will need help naming the label.

Bubba's Bordeaux?
HayaBubba Bordeaux?
Merlot Ala Bubba?

Any other Ideas?

I've got 4 vines of table grapes and probably 300' feet of unknown vines growing on the fences. The deer, coons, turkeys and birds knock out the table grapes along with the peaches and plums. We barely get a taste. They don't touch the ones growing on the fence, too sour for them and me. Prune them back to keep them producing.

You can get all the Org members to stamp on them then you can label the wine Bubbas Busa Stampede the real one

:thumbsup:Good one Bubba wouldn't mind some Rev Head Red:laugh:
