Recall Work Time Frame and Back Orders...solved?

In speaking with the dealer here, I believe I may have uncovered something that could be slowing down some people's recall work/recall parts orders.

Evidentally (and this is coming from deductions made as a result of information supplied by the local dealer...could be untrue) if they order your parts for the recall through the computer, as is the standard method, the parts are on national backorder and you have to wait (and wait...and wait......AND WAIT). If they pick up the phone and call the recall response line, the parts have the capability of showing up rather quickly...a day in my case.

It would appear that the Suzuki method of obtaining parts differs if you are doing recall work. Just and FYI for everyone...make the dealer call if you're waiting!

YES! I agree your dealer can not only call but try to expidite the parts. There is no substitue for a good dealer. Sorry to those how do not have one.
