Rear wheel bearings

I've just found out that my rear wheel bearings need replacing. My busa has done less than 10,000 miles and I never do wheelies or burn outs and it has only ever done 2 dyno runs. It has only been out of warranty for 2 months.

How common is it for rear wheel bearings to need replacement after about 10,000 miles?

That's really weird.......I've owned many many bikes and have never replaced rear wheel bearings.........none of them needed it.
Maybe I've been lucky that way.

I'm a grand short of 30, never replaced mine.

Thanks guys, maybe I just got a bad set> or maybe I did the rear axle up too tight or something.

Mine took a dump on me @ 32,000

I have 41,816 now, hopefully 50,000 by yrs end.
