Rear Sprocket Question

Hey all, first post. Did search but didn't find what I was looking for. So, I want to go to a +2 (45) rear sprocket, but I only have 3,000 miles on the bike. Can I get away with just replacing the rear sprocket? Also, when I was looking at purchasing said sprocket there was an option for pitch (?) of stock or 530? Lost on that. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -L.

530 is what you need. It's the width of the sprocket/chain. Smaller bikes, say a 1000cc might use a 525 chain/sprocket.

Chain is brand new - no need to mess with that. So yes.
