Rear Caliper Rebuild Gen1

So after the great success of my front caliper rebuild, I ordered the rear kit. Didn’t take too many pictures as I am tired and still need to bleed them tomorrow. I noticed even movement on both sides but a bugger to get out. Had to use compressed air. Both dust seals had a small kink in them like the front did. Went back together smoothly. Tried to get them good and clean but I think this is the first time they were apart and 49k worth of gunk is hard to erase.

As you can see, pretty dirty

Got them bled this morning. Flushed out all the old fluid, it was nasty. Orange/pinkish color. Has 1/4 in pedal travel. Have not rode it yet, maybe in a few hours. Will report after a ride how they feel.

I wished I lived closer to you and Bryan...it would be fun hanging out and tinkering with our bikes...

My wife won't budge out of Canada though...

Took a ride, brakes do what they are supposed to do now. Never knew how un effective the rear brakes were till now. I got used to never using rear brakes when I rode the track all the time. Still didn’t use them on the street untill the Busa as the front were always lacking. Locked the rear a couple times in turns without meaning to today. Now to get some pedal time. Have to say, money well spent.

I use mine to start scrubbing speed when approaching a known corner or stop...I used them on the track for the same reason too.
