Really! Should this make a difference!

I changed my oil and filter at 12000 miles and noticed the last time I inadvertantly pushed the fairing grommett through the ram air tube. It fell forward causing a small leak around the post. I got it out by blasting air in the intake with my leaf blower and using a coat hanger through the airbox to agitate the grommet. I used a bit of super glue around the grommet to hold it in place and reassembled. First ride I noticed a significant difference in pull at speed! I thought the bike felt a little off but the difference is pretty huge. Got me thinking about the ram-air sealing mod for sure! Any thoughts?

Most people running for keeps on NA bikes do it. It's stated as a small improvement, but those guys do everything they can.
