Looking at the Escort 9500ix? Anyone have any experience with this detector? I currently have an 8500 x50 and have nothing but good things to say about it, but really like the idea of knowing where the speed cameras are lurking.

Please nobody say V1....

The Escort vs. V1 race will always rage on, but in my opinion they are both top of the line on early detection and information. In radar detection, you can't go wrong with either.

Where the V1 can not help is in the pole mounted cameras that are actually speed measuring devices. They mail out 50 or 100 dollar fines with no points off your license serving nothing but revenue for the local area. The 9500ix and I think one of the BEL (RG65?) units actually offer this feature. Looking to see if anyone has experience with either of these types of units.

I have the V1. We don't have those pole-mounted cameras where I ride, though AZ does have the mobile ones and the hard-mounted ones on all their interstates and state routes. The V1 get's 'em all, as well as those, obviously, from hand-helds.

But I won't say anything about that... (except that) I won't leave home without mine.
