Honestly? Sell the Gen 1 and buy a bike with lots of stuff already on it. For $10k you can buy a Gen-2 that will run deep into the 8's. Add on the cash from the sale of your Gen-1 and you can really be set up.

true true true. if you got the money. cought a guy on internet with a gen 1 had over 20k invested. pictures proved it. asking 8k. only 2.5 hrs away. I was looking to sell mine just to go get his. bikes, especially race bikes MONEY PIT investments only retain value.

but if I was you and your new to drag racing. invest in body-suspension-performance NOT speed products. racing comes down to consistency. you can be the fastest in the world but if you cant do it the same every time....…………………….

put money in speed later with the experience
I’ve been out of racing for about 4 years since I’ve been in the military. Looking to get back into it later this year since I’ll be on my way out. I’ll look into some bikes and see what’s around here. Not really many race bikes for sale in my area of NC. I don’t mind a road trip though.
