Everything is pretty straight foward. To fabricate your quick release gas tank pins you will need to cut of the head of the two 8mm bolt, next cut a slit on top ( so you can screw it into place, and finally drill a hole into the bolt to accept the cotter pin so the gas tank stay locked into position.  Caution.......... Before you drill the hole into the bolt, first place the bolt into position on the bike (bottoming it out) and pull the gas tank down over as if you're actually installing it. As you can see a marked area for drilling will be anywhere above the gas tank opening holes that rest over the new bolt . .

Take your time drilling and use plenty of cutting oil and be sure to raise the drill ever so often to the remove metal shavings.

Now you can proceede to drill a hole into the 8mm bolt by placing it into your jerry rigged flaring took kit. In order for the bolt to stay in position and preventing the drill from sliding off to the side you will need to drill a hole in the center just above where the bolt fits into the flare tool.

Thats it !

The seat pan quick release install is even easier but a little more azz is needed when drilling out the bolt heads on the under side and making sure you keep a steady straight hand (drill)when enlarging the hole opening on the frame.

To start place the seat on its side between you feet while standing over the exposed  area that has to be drilled (enlarged) out.  I used an easy out first to get the hole opening started to keep the drill bit from grabbing and throwing my azz across the garage floor.

In stead of buying bolts to cutting the heads, off you can buy an allen stud. That way you can put the stud in and take them out easy. The allen stud looks like a regular stud until you look at one end of it and it has a allen pattern cut into the stud....Just a thought.

Good suggestion V1, just a day late and a dollah short.
