Questions on mounting go pro

I have a recently acquired a go pro hero 2 motorsports editin helmet camera and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them and the best way for mounting them on the bike or helmet. I have the suction cup mount but am kinda skeptical about using it at 100+ mph and the same for the adhesive mounts? Any one use these mounts have any pros or cons and do they with hold the speeds of a sportbike? Kind of a noob to the helmet cam world

You can attach a tether, but mine has stayed put. The cameras come with all kinds of mounts. I've only used the cup so far.

Never had any problems with the suction cup or adhesive mount. I run mine usually every time I'm on my bike, which is most everyday. I've told my wife if anything happens to me, look for the gopro.

No problems with the suction cup at faster speeds or anything? I mean maybe I'm just paranoid :tongue3:
Mine has been attached on top of the tank behind the windscreen and at full tilt numerous times. Out on the fairing in air I would def go with a tether.

If you mount the adhesive mount CORRECTLY (which means on a CLEANED, Wax-free surface at the proper temperature and allow 24 hours to SET) it will hold pretty dang good. I've had mine on my helmet at 150+ on trackdays...

Go check out the GoPro Resource thread (it's pinned) and it has TONS of GoPro experience inside!

I have used the suction cup at the track and on the road with no issues. Here is my first track day using the suction cup. I have since fabricated a mount behind my mirror.

I've run on top and on the side. I definately prefer the top. I have multiple adhesive mounts on multiple motorcycles and helmets. Never had a problem. Like skydivr said, make sure to take your time and do it correctly.

I've had mine suction cupped to the tank at 176, and it was as smooth as it could be. I did tether it with a shoe string... But it never fell off!!

I have a YouTube video of me topping the bike out, and you can see for yourself how clear everything was. Just search my s/n.

I suction cup mine to the tank, and once on the tail section for rearward video. Never had it come off but tethered it every time just in case.
I've had it mounted here with a stick on mount for many miles, never a problem..

Suction cup good at any spead - I do use a tether. Tank and side of fairing tethered to mirror are best and easiet. IMHO

I used a suction cup on this video on the track.. I have used the suction cup all over as a matter of fact and never had a problem...

Currently use mine attached to lower right side of helmet.

Have also used the suction cup mounted on the front between the headlight and screen but when mounted directly on the bike seemed to pick up every little bump in the road.

You'll also get better sound quality by using the skeleton back rather than the solid one.
