QUESTION- Tanks, Fuel Pumps and Electronics

OK I have heard conflicting things from people I respect, so I am seeking the answer once and for all.

Is it true that the 2001 Hayausa has a different fuel pump set-up from 2002-2007 Hayabusa's?

And if this is true, what are the implications for someone who buys a 2001 tank and wants to put it on his 2005 Hayabusa? Will he need to find a 2001 fuel pump as well? Will he need to replace anything else such as wire harnesses?

Thanks in advance.

The 1999 and 2000 have fuel pumps Outside the fuel tank.
The 2001 to 2007 have fuel pumps Inside the tank.
And they are both different pumps.

Call Daniel and ask to be sure. 01 is a bastard year, it definitely has an in-tank pump, but the electronics are different than the 99, 00 and 02+.

Cloud 9 Daniel? That is one of my sources who alerted me to this a while back. So I still have the question about the electronics. If you are gonna put a 2001 tank with internal pump on like a 2005, do you need to change anything else?
