Question on valve adjustment

I did a complete head cylinder job. While the head is out of the block, if I install the camshafts (intake/exhaust) and the journals - can I adjust my intake/exhaust valves?
I sent the block away and it will be for awhile to get it. I just want to get ahead while I'm free.

Yes you can

I do it on the bench all the time

Yea u just can’t check piston to valve clearance, that’s all

It's alot easier than working between the frame rails too.

Hi. Just make sure that the valves can open all the way and that they do not hit the table or the bench.
