Question about gauges and speedohealer

Here is the situation. I installed 220 gauges in place of my 180 guages. I got a speedohealer and set it up usuing the online calculator.

I found out that my speedo was way off after I put in the adjustment the online calculator gave me. I checked it by riding next to my wife and she indicated when she was doing 60 and my bike was reading 51ish. Then I rode by a radar gun that displays your speed and I was low as well. So I adjusted my speedohealer to only -5% and it is dead on with the radar guns and my wifes car and I don't know why. It doesn't make sense. I don't care if it is exact but I want to make sure it is at least more accurate than the stock speedo. I just don't see how changing from 180 speedo to a 220 speedo only needs a -5 adjustment.
Any thoughts on this?
