What the bill does:

The legislation bans the sale, transfer, manufacturing and importation of:

• All semiautomatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazine and have at least one military feature: pistol grip; forward grip; folding, telescoping, or detachable stock; grenade launcher or rocket launcher; barrel shroud; or threaded barrel.

• All semiautomatic pistols that can accept a detachable magazine and have at least one military feature: threaded barrel; second pistol grip; barrel shroud; capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip; or semiautomatic version of an automatic firearm.

• All semiautomatic rifles and handguns that have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds.

• All semiautomatic shotguns that have a folding, telescoping, or detachable stock; pistol grip; fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 5 rounds; ability to accept a detachable magazine; forward grip; grenade launcher or rocket launcher; or shotgun with a revolving cylinder.

• All ammunition feeding devices (magazines, strips, and drums) capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.

• 157 specifically-named firearms

So then according to the "One military feature" Rule I am going to guess that all .50 Cal rifles will be banned along with ALL rifles chambered for 5.56 x 45 and 7.62 x 51 NATO rounds even if it is a single shot bolt action rifle since those rounds are military features.

I do not see her getting away with this. I pray she doesn't

I too saw this and thought about an appropriate response...In reality there is not one, since different defensive scenario's are not what the second amendment is about. His statements have no relevance to the issue at hand.

Ok, if I had to respond....when the police / swat teams stop carrying AR's as a primary weapon and start using shotguns only...then we could talk.

What about 22's with tubular mags some of them hold more than 10 rounds. I tried to tell people if Obama got back in he would push for gun control. He wouldn't do it the first time because he knew might cost him. Now he has nothing to hold him back. I talked to a guy who was afraid Romney would hurt unions. The truth is Romney couldn't have taken away unions but Obama sure could take away our firearms.
