Pre Brembo Gen 2 vs L3 brakes. Anyone ridden both? Tuffbusa need not reply

Hey guys,

Posted a thread earlier but it turned into a Tuffbusa trolling session.

Anyone out there who has actually ridden a Gen2 pre L3 without the Brembo brakes, and has also ridden an L3 with them able to describe any differences they felt? Purely interested in what you noticed were the differences.

If you haven't actually ridden both, please dont bother posting thanks :banghead:

Hot Dang, I'm heartbroken!

Maybe if the OP starts enough threads re-phrasing the same old question with abbreviations that only he understands someone will eventually break down, decode his vocabulary and do his research for him?

Just to try and help the poor bloke out I typed "L3 brakes" into the Google search bar and apparently google never heard of it either? :dunno:

My suspicion he is referring to the 2013 busa that comes with brembo brakes. I think he is attempting to use a combination of Roman Numerals and numbers? Just a guess but who tf knows?

I have and didn't see a difference. I didn't hammer on the Brembo bike that hard since it's a coworkers. Like most things I imagine they are a little better somewhere during the life of the brakes but marketing is probably the key to their success kind of like Amsoil.

Come on people all ready, lets not cluster this thread up

"If you haven't actually ridden both, please dont bother posting thanks" :wtf:

Yes i have ridden both, and the answer to your question is, not really, because of the ABS!

As far as the Brembo calipers, they are the OEM version, not even close to the brake feel of the Race Hp calipers.

Also as with the original Gen2's the Master Cylinder is still the weak link!

Just to say to you yanks... suzuki put L3 on the bikes here meaning 2013 model... seems you lot need to have the actual year spelt out LOL

Well I'm not a "Yank" I'm Canadian. To me,"L" has always meant the number 50.

So I also had a Tuff time deciphering what the "Limey" meant aswell.

If "L' is 50...which it is...then L3 would be 53. But now, for the 2013 Hayabusa designation "L" now means 201.

Slang abbreviations...I hate 'em. Makes me wanna sick my Rottweiler on someone's ass. (no I don't own a Rotti)

RSD.

Its not an abbreviation.. its how they are named BY SUZUKI in europe.. it shows the L3 bit in the manual etc etc... lmao

Sorry guys, I can't say I have ridden the L3, but I do have a K9 without abs, and another bike with abs. Let's just say that I feel more confident on the bike with abs.

Sent from my Ford F-150 using Forum Runner

Being new to Busa's I first rode a 2010 bike RL0 and found the brakes really good (I was comparing it with a 1993 Yammy YZF750R so any new bike is better than that lol)

I eventually bought a brand new limited edition L3 and you only notice the the ABS if you brake damn hard I've ridden mine for just over a week and only activated the ABS once, weird sensation on a bike the standard feeling you get from a car abs system but more pronounced on a bike.

Makes your ass judder like **** lol

I hope this helps
