Man, I've been stuck out in the woods after dark when I was a kid, scary stuff! I was older and had a friend with me and being back in the mangroves was still very,very disconcerting. I can't imagine how scared that poor girl must have felt.

I believe she is a special needs person....something similar to autism. Probably went wandering off and got "lost". Amazing that she survived in the swamps, especially at such an active time for gators!
