Powering a 2000 fuel pump from an out side power source.

I was wondering if it is safe to power up a 2000 fuel pump from an outside power source. I have a bad fuel pump relay and a blown fuse. I was wondering if I can power the pump before I try and start the bike after replacing the fuse & relay. Not sure if I will fill the cyclinders with gas or any other disasters that could happen.

Thanks, Dr Pain

It's most likely that it is the pump, that is blowing the fuse!

SO,,, CAN YOU POWER THE PUMP WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Any Ideas why the pump would blow a fuse and relay? The bike sat for about 10 months not started. But, it did have fuel stabilizer and the gas was clean and the tank also.

You can try, but i would put a fuse in line, just try hooking it to the battery.
The 99 and 2000 had a few fuel pump problems. I could be frozen, from sitting!
