Power commander gurus, I need some input

I never really got around to playing with my PCIII USB until today. I always just figured that the correct map was loaded from the original owner. Well, I connected to the software, turned on the bike and eveything was communicating fine. Clicked get map and it said "no map loaded." No map ever appeared on the screen. I guess this means that there was never a map loaded. Is that correct or am I doing something wrong?

probably correct. Bike was just running on it on with no corrections.

go to DynoJet site and download their maps for now.

+1, sounds like the previous owner wiped the map clean or the PCIII has lost it during a period of no use. Like Blue said, get one from the Dynojet site that best meets the set up for your bike until you decide to tune it.

Cool, thanks guys. While I was connected I hit "open maps" and it pulled up some sort of map backup file. It turns out that this is the correct map for my setup but for whatever reason it was not loaded. I loaded the map and the bike instantly ran better. No more hesitation from a throttle roll on at 5K rpm.
