Power Coating Temp range?

What’s the temperature range of powder coating? I ask because I want to have my mid pipes powder coated instead of the more expensive alternative of ceramic coating. My powder coating shop here says the mid-pipes will be fine but he could not do the headers because of the heat. Just want to get a second opinion?

Thanks

I ceramic coated mine, my powder coat guy said it would flake if I powder coated them. The ceramic does look good, but it is kinda fragile.

Somebody else said something about epoxy coat...

My understanding is that they do have high heat powercoatings. I've been wanting to do my mids also. might have to just go with high temp paint

low buck Recipe for high temp coating
Rattle can high temp ceramic paint from auto parts store,[1200 degree stuff]
Apply paint immediatly cook parts on gas grill for 2 hours at 375-400

Gives ya a nice matte black finish that will resist heat
When i cook parts i put a piece of sheet metal between parts and flames.

Do the mid pipes get that hot?

I noticed they have so much baffling in them (hence why they don’t blue) i am sure the outer skin does not get that hot?

Ya mids get real hot
