Powder coat speed ring?

Hello. Can the 2017s speed ring be powder coated safety without any issues? I’d like to make mine black when I change the tires. Thanks

Those are fairly precise. It might be able to but I wouldn’t risk it.

On the other hand you could always replace it fairly cheaply if it does mess up... so it may be worth a shot.

Problem is it might be hard to tell if the bike is not working correctly until a time you wouldn't want to find out. I would not experiment with it.

Anodizing, black phosphate... has to be another process that will work.

Just paint it rattle can X color you like as the paint will not fill the ring spaces like Powder coat can if sprayed heavy .

I think I might try this option. Just have to find a place to get it done.

I wouldn't powder coat it, but maybe just a rattle can spray
