This past weekend, a friend and I went to the auto show at the tampa convention center and drooled over some high end vehicles and custom cars that were going to be auction north of 300k dollars. Out of everything we saw, what got my attention the minute I walked through the doors, was the Maserati and Porsche SUVs that were right at the entrance. I walked around them and then looked down at the Porsche’s wheels and my eyeballs almost fell out of their sockets. The brakes on that thing were the biggest, most beautiful brakes I’ve seen in my life!!! Gigantic rotors and humongous white calipers. I was just standing there staring at them for a few seconds, while the suited up “Porsche’s rep.” Was smiling and looking at me.
There was several other cool vehicles, including a lady with her old Pontiac that she bought new in 1970 and only has 210miles on the odometer. She had all the paperwork and, when I asked her what it was worth, she told me she had turned down $100k offers on it. I love going to these shows to see all the cool cars there, so it was a fun weekend for me and I wrapped it up with some BBQing at the house. Here are some crappy cell pics and a link to Porsche’s brake system:
