Pmr Bar Switch

I see Pashnit sells these and maybe he'll chime in, but it appears there's no back to this switch? I know part of the back is blocked by the clutch reservoir, but doesn't appear all of it is... Can you see the back of it from the front of the bike? Does it look tacky being able to see the bare connectors?

Also on the site, it appears you have to order the switches separately... I'd hope for $70 you get the switches too, but maybe not? I'd like to use one as a momentary for a garage door opener. I know I can get away with using a on/off , but would be nice if they offered momentary. If they don't, any idea what brand the switches are?

What about an MPS Street Lite switch assembly?

I didn't know they made switches. Just looked them up and they do have one that'd operate perfectly, but the rocker switch part just looks out of place to me. I really dig the below the grip style much better, just switch they had it with 2 switches and 1 being on/off

What GIXERHP said. I have had them for almost 2 years and I don't notice the back is open, and I am OCD about that crap. I have also never had anyone else notice, and my friends would love to bust my balls about it if they did.

I found a momentary switch on their site, not sure why I didn't see it last night. Of course with my luck, both the triple switch and a momentary switch falls $0.10 below the $100 free shipping limit. :( I emailed them to ask if I can just pay an extra $0.10 so I could save the $7-$8 in shipping.

Definitely pricey and why I've put off getting some for so long. I tried to be cheap and got a bar mounted china switch, but only to realize there's no real room to put one though.

They look nice and i would love to own some but they are some pricey switches.

On-Off Switches are included in the kit.

However, some riders want a specific type other than on-off, so you have those options to add to your cart.

These were originally designed around the Hayabusa, but will work on any 7/8" bar.

Note you can also purchase a backing plate to use the a bike like my Z1000.

The back is open, but I shrink wrapped up my wires as best I could. Suppose you could fill the backing with a rubber sealer if you wanted.

You can also use the PMR Bar Switches on any bike with handlebars. I used the same one I had on the Hayabusa on my Z1000. They do come in left right configurations, but it seemed to fit best on the right side. In hindsight, it's a pain to reach over with the left hand to flip the switches.

I built a wire harness & powered the switches all with the Fuzeblock so the lights are wired through the ignition. Three different LED sets get powered with the Triple Bar Switch. I had to use a backing plate, but had a spare in the shop, it bolted up nicely on the handlebars.

Anyway,

PMR Bar Switches are great for lighting projects , Nitros, momentary on, heated grips, anything really.

Also added a 'spotlight' that shines straight down. No reason. Just because I can. Turns off-off with PMR bar switches.

Also wired up the 3 watt fog lights to the PMR Bar Switch. I originally had these installed on the inside of the air intakes of the Hayabusa.
