PM / Preventative Maintenance on NEW equipment

Today quality control in non existent. This is our new 2019 Forest River Micro lite 21DS . The brakes were set a wee to tight , but no big deal . However the bearings , and axle seals were the real issue . Driver side bearings okay , but to much grease pumped past rear seal into brake area .
So I cleaned everything up , repack bearings , and set brake/bearing tension correctly .
Passenger side was a different story as bearings were showing signs over over heating due to near zero tension . So they were moving back , and forth on inner race / spindle . .
Also to much grease pumped past rear seal . Brakes were set right on this side though. I went to the auto parts to get two new national bearings to replace these .
Now everything is up to par for the next year plus with PM done . I now know the bearing / seal part numbers to carry a spare in a pinch .

The point here my friends is trust nothing ! Double check everyone or thing . $21,xxx RV with 3,6xx miles
This would be a real trip killer to have a failure on the road for vacation . It has bugged me since new not knowing the condition . Now I can drive at ease knowing whats in there

I guess in the US you would see Mexican made stuff, but the rest of the world not so much.

Wife's new toy. She wants to expand on our trips, take our three fur babies, and spend less hotel money. 30,xxx unit for 22,990 after TTL @ 4.2% interest for 96 months. 2019 Forest River Micro Lite 21DS I'll write up a little more on everything, and how important this is for her.

Well I'm still enjoying our Red . As you said they are all junk . Except I've been fixing ours from day one . With everything done now . The Black tank clean flush didnt work . Why because the hose was kinked in the wall !
I found it finally , and repaired yesterday . Flushed the black tank 3 times , and now its clean . Hauling sewage in a bucket to my house clean out was so much FUN ! Mike Rowe dirty jobs lol .
