I saw this video clip that gives a pretty good description of how everything went down.

The Navy SEAL team snipers were awesome. All I can do is laugh in amazement and think WOW.

At night, the rescue boat was being towed 75 feet away, rough waters, 3 simultanious shots through a window. All three head shots to each of the three snipers.

At the end I like what Vice Admiral Gortney says when he is asked if he had concerns over pirates threats.

"I would hope the pirates will conclude they should not attack a United States flagged ship"

I totally agree with them doing what they had to do and to hit those shots on a moving target is amazing .

The only thing I fear is that the remaining 200 hostages or any future hostages will suffer the consequences, beause until now with this incident and the French raid on a boat the pirates have just taken the money and returned the ship and the crew.

The US has already shown the Somali war lords that if it's people bleed America will run. I just hope our Military is fully ready for the esculation of viloence in that area and most certain loss of human life and stick it thru until the end which will probably be on Somali land again.

It needed to be done; people had just better steel themselves for the repercussions...

Just goes to show when America isn't worried about offending anyone, we are a very powerful and skilled nation.
Great work from the Seals! :beerchug:
3 bullets, 3 dead azzhats!

Amazing shots. And a much needed check to the pirates growing boldness. They reported yesterday that there was a total of 111 pirate attacks last year, or something close to that. This year already there has been 74. That's a big increase. They feel they are running the seas and need to be "told" otherwise.

**** with the best, die like the rest! Three simultaneous head shots...OUTSTANDING!

the pirates leader guy was saying "any american or french person captured from now on will be killed, America has waged war on his people an we will pay"... WTF what do they think they were doing capturing our boat that was taking food to there low life country and holding a captin hostiage at gun point? all i have to say is bring it on, im sick of these azz holes doing this crap and getting away with it, they needed to be tought a lesson "DONT F*** WITH AMERICA".....

I hope an actual vid of the shots hits the net. I hope they even include a vid of the bodies being dragged from the life boat. I can't image the vids being any worse than the vids of our soldiers and civilians being beheaded.

I'm just glad it all worked out in the end. :beerchug: Way to go Seals! :cheerleader:

Hey, we put armed Marshalls on planes, station armed soilders in all parts of the world, mebbe it is time to start mounting 16 inch manned battle guns on our cargo ships....
I'm sick of the US being too nice!

Gotta give props to the Navy Seals that completed this mission. Those are som Bad arse MF's. thats what I want to be when I grow up. A navy seal riding a Busa.

lets hang up the bodies of the pirates and use them as flags now...lol
Unfortunately when the thugs and doped up holigans did this to the Black Hawk crew the American public couldn't stomach it and was the begining of the end of our stay in Somalia.

Lesson learned.

We just dont step foot on Somalia. Just air strikes from 30,000 feet.

I dont think we need to go there. I think all we need to do is setup a no boating zone just like we have had no fly zones.

Monitor with a multi national force, use satalites and armed UAV's. Any boat that isnt a carrgo type vessel and hasnt had prior authorization attempt to make contact, if no contact can be made fire on it.
