Seems that he's all right.

I'm going out on a limb sharing this with you, but this is a copy/paste job from his reply:

I've been popping in and out of there a few times per week. I'm doing well.

I went on a bike trip in late May and had a great time. It was just a
two-day ride up in the North Georgia Mountains and through Deal's Gap. After we returned from the trip, I haven't ridden much because of the heat we've been having here in Georgia.

I may, however, ride up to Highlands and Franklin, North Carolina, tomorrow because the weather is going to be in the mid-80s with relatively low humidity.
