I'm installing a pingel electric shifter (part#77200) on my friend's '01 busa. The shift control module gets power for the red and black wires directly to the battery. There's a third (red) wire for switched 12v power. The install instructions say to connect it to the stock orange w/ white striped wire exiting the stock ignition module. I found what I believe is the correct wire but I don't want to cut into the wiring harness to connect it. Is there another easy to access switched power wire that I could use somewhere under the seat or gas tank? I also have the Clymer service manual with the wiring diagrams. Electrical is not my forte and I don't want to screw up and burn out the ECM, shifter control module or who knows what else. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
