When this crossed the block a few minutes ago at the Mecum Spring Classic on HD Theater ?

1965 Dodge Coronet 440 4-Door for sale by Mecum Auction

It sold for $8000. Yes thats right only $8000 bucks.

100% . I'm sure it will show closing price on their site later.
I was watching it. Eat off me engine. Over 30k in receipts.
It had a reserve then at 6k reserve was lifted and Dana Mecum did his famous yellow sticker on window to show it was gonna sell. Then it hit 7500, then 8k and bam .......SOLD...SOLD SOLD IT !!!!!
I was same . I wish I could have signed up acct soon enough and put it on the card...

I saw Caps car a while back and thought of him.

What a perfect thng to tool around in and for that $ the new owner was stunned. He bid once and when he did he was like yea sure I'll go 8.
2 secs later he was signing papers and the look in his face was amazement.

I won't sell mine for that, I have had some pretty good offers over the years.. When the movie comes out this summer that the car was in the price will go up...

Cap the car was worth far more .
The bids started off quick but as soon as reserve was lifted it died and only one or two more folks bid.
Up close as they show on TV it was beautiful.
In yrs of watching Barrett-Jackson and now Mecum I have never seen anyone get such a 'steal' and it was on a police car...
