Has anyone run the Michelin Pilot Sport HPX? I really just need a good commuting tire. I don't really need the Pilot power or anyother ultra sticky tire. I need something with milage as I take my bike on long distances and I commute with it. I don't at the speed of light and I don't do track days. Anyone have any ideas? I did a search and could really find what I was looking for.

I just put on pilot sports 500 miles ago and they seem to be wearing fairly fast. I used to ues BT020s. Great touring tyre but a bit on the pricey side in Ireland.

I have used the HPX. It was an ok tire. Nothing to rave or complain about. It was not as sticky as the "sportier" tires so I won't use it again because for my riding, I demand max stick. But it was an ok tire. The STOCK tire, sticks ok and wears fairly fast

Isn't there a PILOT ROAD out there too? Just keep your tire pressure 2 or more under factory (42) and you'll get a tad more heat/stick out of touring tires

ah ha! check it. Michelin makes a Pilot Road 2.0 now
road 2.0

I used the HPX before also and I agree with WWJD on that tire.

The Roads would make a good tire for what you are looking for.
