I'm not gonna know whether to punch the UPS driver or kiss 'em. I guess if it's a woman I'm not gonna have much of a choice

Sounds to me like HMF and a few others take time to make it possible to retain the passanger pegs, why do no others do this?

That is a good question~ I'll admit, retaining the rear pegs was one of my deciding factors.. but mostly I just wanted to keep the dual look~ After a year of lurking and learning, I came to like the rep of the HMF Systems.. even with the melting issues I read about~ For me, these pipes just fit this bike right.. and they sound real good too!

I actually know what you're going through~ When I ordered my system, through a local dealer/friend, I was told it would take about a week~ The weather wasn't all that great at the time, so I figured.. WTF.?... I can take my sweet time and get 'er ready so when they arrive I just have to put 'er all back together....and proceeded to tear 'er apart~ Well a week turned into next week and then should be one more week and then the delivery peeps loaded them on the wrong truck... I was down pert near a month waiting for my pipes~

If you look closely at my pics.. you'll notice I cut, filed, and repainted the rear peg assembly... yup, the extra part that mounts the stock exhaust~ Looks great, but the whole time I'm waiting, I'm looking at my stock system sitting in the rafters, laughing at me because I couldn't remount them and ride until the HMFs arrived!

So... I feel your pain... but I'm not sorry I got to post them pics!!

GJoker,
Any chance you have a way to get a sound clip of yours for me?

What would it cost them for 2 clips/holders/pipe supports to retain passanger pegs, 5.00 more on the price, maybe 10.00 or 20.00, would you not pay 5 more or even 20 more for it.. little more than it really costs and to stick it to the customer but in trueth it probably is too much of a hassle. Someone here could probably make it and sell it for a price.

Man, You aren't Kidding! I was told 2 week delivery 4 weeks ago

NOW they're telling me they SHOULD ship out sometime next week IF the high rise pipes come off of back order. Apparently they don't have a production run scheduled until next Monday or Tuesday

I tore the bike down three weeks ago in anticipation of the exhaust arriving. On a good note I have gotten the air shifter installed ( Waiting on the bracket coming from ERacer on Friday) along with a couple other little things that needed done. Now I'm thinking about since it's already down and apart I may as well install a Dry NOS system!?! You never know when you may need a quick extra 40 HP
This waiting is KILLING ME .... and getting expensive too!
