I Love My Wife

For our anniversary my wife insisted on a bike trip:rulez:. It on me to plan the trip after that. We spent 3nights in Grand Marais MI which sits on Lake Superior at the East end of Grand Sable Dunes and Pictured Rocks. This is a FANTASTIC area to basecamp from there are countless excursions of all kinds to suit anyone.
Here's the pretrip pic loaded, shiny, clean.

Here's the Bed & Breakfast we stayed at The Agate Cross B&B.
I can't say enough how awesome this place is the hosts are extremely welcoming. It was more like visiting friends than staying somewhere to sleep.

We had 2 day trips from here soaking up as many of the best motorcycle road miles as possible H58 starts from GM and was beautiful and took us Munising. The first day was Fayette State Park near Garden MI on the shore of lake Michigan. Fayette is an abandoned iron ore town from the mid -late 1800's (1861-1892ish). Many of the buildings still stand. We rushed through in 4 hours, not nearly enough time.

The next day after attending Church with our hosts we too a 3 hour Pictured Rocks boat cruise. The water is as gorgeous as any Gulf of Mexico or Carribbean location that I've seen and no picture can do the beauty of the rocks justice either.

This ones called The Grand Portal.

The next day we headed toward Traverse City but couldn't miss an opportunity to have lunch at the Legs Inn (Polish food specialist). Which is on the north end of M119 aka The Tunnel of Trees a very curvy and narrow stretch of road along the Lake Michigan lakeshore.

The next morning we headed for home but since we were already there why not ride M22 a scenic coastal road that goes the opposite direction of home. It made a 3 hour trip 6 hours but hey it's vacation.

Here's a shot of the GPS after we finished.

Unfortunately there was road construction involving concrete cutting.

This was easily the best trip we've been on yet, can't wait to visit GM and more specifically the Agate Cross B&B.
Forgot to include we had the best pizza ever right next door to the B&B at The Diner. The crust was out of this world the toppings all hand cut chunks super good.
