Passing rednecks out on country roads

Well something very similar happened yesterday out around the Dover Tennessee area while me and Bill were riding yesterday.
Riding some 2 lane back roads we came up on this red Nissan Pathfinder with 2 male passengers in there mid 30's that was cruising along at a good pace so he must have been very familiar with the roads. Bill found a straight away and went to go around and pass, nothing aggressive but a pass well over in the other lane, when Bill got about 1-2 feet passed his front bumper he swerved over towards him then sped up!!! He looked in his side mirror at me and I pointed at him. Well in fear that he was going to run Bill down I passed him also trying to send the message to Bill since he had no idea what happened... As I was passing Bill I pointed behind us at the truck, we began running hard not picking up much ground on the curves came to a few straight aways and were able to pull away in time lost site we kept on running about 5-7 miles to find it was a DEAD ROAD!!!!! I turn around and tell Bill that the truck tried to swerve over into him and is trying to run us down.. we spun back around going back the way we came about 1 mile up the road guess who??? Yupp behind a car we pass him and about 2 miles I see an oncoming car little blue escort / cavalier well he driving in the middle of the road moitioning to pull over / stop! I fake to the left and then back over the right and pass him... We had all the inbreeds in on it now! We kept on rolling hard..

The only day I didn't have my pistol on me, figures!!

So it does happen!! Some people are so angry these days!!! Or maybe just dont like sportbikes running there country roads I dont know, just saying be careful out there on them backwood roads and you come up on a vehicle

ive had crazy stuff like that happen.. i was out exploring an area i had never ridden before that my dad had told me was a beautiful ride.... well going down some country road i pass this beautiful farm house and slow down and actually stop to admire it and to stretch a bit and the crazy redneck comes flying out of the house and jumps into his ford and dam near runs me over and jumps out of the truck with a shotgun swearin at me asking me wtf i am doing and i simply explained that i was out riding on a beautiful day and stopped to admire his beautiful house/setup in the middle of no where and he just kept yellin about us young kids from town keep stealin stuff and how he will kill me etc... I explained i lived almost 2 hours away and i was 29 years old and far from some theivin young kid and that i would happily leave... i luckily did have my gun on me but i didnt exactly want to start a shootout, out in bfe and get charged with murder by some country redneck cop with nothing better to do lmfao. I swear some people are crazy!!!!!

I saw this a while back and I think this guy some jail time out of it. Seems like 2 years or more

You'd probably find that the reason they act like that is because "Y'all ain't ridin' a Harley!"

Glad you and Bill got away clean. Let that be a lesson to you! Never ever leave home without your American Protection Card!!!:rulez:

Every time I pass someone around here I cringe that the same is going to happen to me; I have started make myself wave a 'thank you' (double yellow or not) every time I pass someone in the HOPE that it will give them a chance to calm down and not try to kill me. HWY 49 from the power plant up to Dover following the river is a nice scenic road not real twisty but nice scenery. Also recommend crossing at the ferry it's an nice break.

I'm starting to think Bill is jinxed, we've had our little 'rundown' already, so now it was your turn...

Like your American Express Card "Don't leave home without it"....

Well, I am glad the riders got him on record, and he didn't just almost kill the one guy that passed him, but anyone else on the road heading his way...never seen someone cross over the line more than he did, on blind turns :banghead:

Gotta say though, and this may not be popular, but the sportbiker that opted to pass him should have waited until he could legally pass him. He did pass on a double-yellow, something I see is pretty popular with sportbikers...doesn't give this azz any right to nearly kill him, but I wonder if that's exactly what set the idiot off...

this happened awhile ago and yes the guy in the truck did some prison time not jail .

It's hard to speculate what you would do in a certain situation, but I am 100% sure if that was me, when he got out of the truck he would have to kick my :moon: because I would have been all over him.

I noticed you wave at people when you pass them, when we rode. To some a wave may be taken as an insult as waving bye bye see ya, etc. I dont care to take a hand of my bars when I am passing a vehicle even more so on a country back 2 lane road. I will use my turn signal out of respect when coming back over.

I don't mind a chase every once in awhile it keeps me in practice of controlling my adrenaline.
Scale of Adrenaline & Ability is a balance along with practice of ones SR's

Well you have 2 choices in this situation.
Yes, we could have pulled over this thought crossed my mind, I then thought to myself, there are 2 middle aged men in the truck. We are in there territory! This is Tennessee and it was backwoods hillbilly land and chances are they were drunk or high on illegal drugs with a firearm. Keyword chances so all you country folk dont start thinking I am stereo typing.. So I have no weapon on me (the only time I wasnt carrying) and it turned out they must have phoned friends / neighbors cause there were a few cars involved in this.
Choice 2) Ride hard make ground and get out of the area and laugh about it later.

They weren't in any vehicle that I felt we couldnt out power (nissan pathfinder, chevy cavalier and a white truck)

Now, if we seen shotguns or heard gun blasts then I would have stopped and delt with that situation the best I could have.

Your choice could have ended up bad in the area we were in. Out numbered on a dead end country road with rednecks.

Your situation, you made a wise move. I was referring to the redneck in the video who jumped out of the truck at the stop sign.:beerchug:

Yeaah that would have been a different story! He would have been out numbered.. I could see a serious azz whooping in that situation,, Adrenaline pumping tried to kill a friend yeah it would have been on

The driver said a motorcycle made his mother go off the road once. So he hates bikers. He is doing jail time now for doing what he did.
