Gurrera

Well I am not telling my age. I do think the world would be better off if some of the old traditions were still the way of life.

I am not that old we had four channels.

yep mom cooked, and if we were lucky we got to out for pizza from time to time. If I had to work with dad all day with yard work or working on the cars ( or our drag car) we got hamburgers from "In N Out"! and mi bicycle was built from parts (BMX, Powerlite, GT ect) and we had 6 channels on the TV before "On TV or Select TV or cable! hahahahaha
My dad was dumb enough to invest in "Beta" video tape and laser disc. So, it was the good ol days!

Whew!! I remember all of that and I remember when television came out, no one had one 'til then. We only had 2 channels when my father finally got a tv set.

i remember 6 of them. I actually remember more as i spent a lot of time with grand parents who still had alot of that....but true actual i was there is like 6

I was a paperboy! I thought I was rich. We used to get to go out and "Cruise Chester" (Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, California) on Friday and Saturday nights; everyone would kick in a dollar each and we would fill up the tank (gas was $0.239 at Terrible Herbst in Oildale). You could get 3 tacos and a medium coke at Taco Bell for $0.76. I could go on and on...I guess I'm actually older than dirt!

Taco Bell was so much better back then IMHO Del Taco too, and let's not forget "Pop N Taco"!!!

I did the paperboy thing too,if I remember right when I went door to door collecting it was about 35 cents per house/per week, and on a good week I earned about $5 for myself.
