Gave this pioneer unit to my brother a few years ago . He had it recapped completely.
He found these speakers ,and repaired them also . Tonight listening to 70's and 80's was Awesome!

Ive got an old kenwood setup in my living room like that along with the kenwood speakers. Grew up with my old man jamming out on these and love the look and sound.
I had an old Sansui set with 5 foot Pioneer speakers in the day, I had that system hooked up to the TV (before surround sound was popular) and watching movies with the kids was an adventure.
We were so poor in the 70's here in NZ, as a teenager I had an old Garrard turntable (45's and 33') and a Fountain amp and speaker, used to play Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and the Who relentlessly until Mum pulled the plug lol.
Very nice I was able to get my Uncle to give me my dads Technics reciever it's in ruff shape my Uncle had it in a storage shed and didn't have it wrapped up so I'm hoping to get it repaired I don't wanna think what it will cost but it's bad a$$ and rare and cost my dad a fortune in the 70s it was his pride and joy and I have great memories blasting it
I had a KENWOOD setup with some Polk audio speakers. Considering I have significant hearing loss, I can only imagine how loud it was to the neighborhood....lol
We're aging ourselves, guys. Lousy picture of the Genesis speaker with the morning sun, but Genesis was one of the best kept secrets in the audio world. The Klipsch bookshelves are connected to the Sherwood and are the newest of the bunch. I've had those and the Marantz since I was a teenager. I don't use the turntable much anymore, but music has always been a passion.
