Old Guy's and Busa's

Re: Old Guy's and Busa's

Don't know how many miles you have on it , but it will get better with some time. In addition to tha mods mentioned, you need to ride using your abs to hold you up. Coming from a cruiser myself, this was a hard adjustment for me. Also slide up toward the tank and grip it with your legs. Holding yourself up will keep the weight off your wrists. Doubble bubble windshield and throttlemeister cruise control will help too. Keep at it, it will get better. I'm soon to be 58, and have logged over 32,000 miles on my 05.

What GSXcite said.... I went from a Goldwing to the Busa. It takes a little time to get used to it... but you will. And I'm 61 so there.

I'm 69 and love the stock position, but I've got an IV of Testosterone and Viagra

Re: Old Guy's and Busa's

Okay, I guess I'm age challenged. At 60 I've been riding Harley's most of my life but I recently bought a left over 2007 (got a really good deal) and I love it, except for the riding position. After a 100 miles my wrists hurt a lot. I'm thinking of going the helibar, Buell pegs, Tobin seat, rear lowering link route to get some of my weight off my wrists. Anyone out there have any thoughts or suggestions?

Work on streghtening your abs, quads, and back. It took me about 6 months of riding daily to build up the muscles needed to keep the weight off the hands and wrists. You can do bar risers, lowering links in the rear, lowered pegs, etc, to try to make the Busa more upright, but you cannot make enough adjustments to change having to use different muscled than you are used to.

You old bast%&d! Got me beat by a year--I just turned 68. Ain't many of us Busa riders that were born before the war (no, not Iraq, Nam or Korea).

Used a few "blue pills" before my triple bypass; now I don't need 'em.

Well I'll be.............two old f**ts that are actually older than me!
And here I thought I was the oldest busa pilot out here. (Turn 65 in June).
Pacemaster (58) and I did a 260 round trip run down Placerville way just today. All stock, no aches or pains.......exercise kids, lots of it and you'll live to ride forever!!

Tobin seat and risers are very good . oh and the buell pegs. I'm 47 and have ridden my first busa around the counrty ( 39 states ) in 02 . The only thing I would get if I did another trip like that would be a cruise control .
