I have done alot of research on this matter but it was a year or two ago and I have no memory! Will basicly anything and everything off a 07 Busa fit on a 01. I remember there were some diff things but not all of them. Any help would ne app very much even if its a link with some info. One other question besides just bolting stuff on compatabilety, did they ever resolve or make improvements to second gear problems and if so what year? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

ECU and Harness will be different

They fixed the 2nd gear issue with the Gen II bikes.....2008 and up

COSMETICALLY, Gen 1 (99-07) are the same bike so fairings, levers, pegs, etc. should be the same.

Major mechanical differences:
* 99-00 were unrestricted
* 03: new lightweight 32-bit ECM with 22- trigger pole sensor

Ok thanks guys. I guess that about sums it up then. If I want to go with the 07 engine just use the 07 computer and wiring harness and be done with it. So if the 99-00 is unrestricted and i guess that means a speed limiter? My 01 has the limiter like everyone else. Sorry I have done alot of reading on these things but never really studied what the limiter was. Thanks for the reply's guys!
