I was wondering if you guys drain the oil cooler when going to full synthetic oil? and how?

That's not necessary. SERIOUSLY not necessary.
Good choice on going synthetic, by the way.
Just get the bike warmed up, dump the oil, swap filters, refill with the synthetic of your choice, re-start the bike, and check for leaks. Quick and easy
