Hi gang. If any of you are looking for a cheap alternative to the Suzuki
oil filter wrench/socket, here's one you can probably find close to home.
Go to your nearest NAPA auto parts store and ask for the following part:
Evercraft service tools
End cap filter wrench, 65/67mm (14) flute
NAPA part# 775-9010
Price: $ 4.29

This will fit the OEM Suzuki filter but I'm not sure about fitment on
other brands of filters.
Ride safe.

I have one of those rubber strap filter tools...works pretty good used it this weekend...

Just picked one up and the part number has changed to:

776-9010

Fits perfectly and about 1/2 the price of the Suzuki tool.

Thanks,

I did not like the ones that go over the end of the filter.... I bought a pair of filter pliers that are kinda like channel locks with huge jaws. Grab the filter and squeeze, and twist off:thumbsup:

just put a wrench on it.

pt# kn-138 or kn-138C (chrome)

I didn't find getting the filter off was the problem. It's getting the new filter on. Think it's two full turns, which is tighter than any filter I have ever installed. The manual says to use a wrench. I could not do it by hand.
