Only because I'd had been searching for information regarding the warranty and 1st service...I figured I'd email Suzuki and ask what all was covered.


It appears that doing your own maintenance does not void the warranty as long as you have receipts and documentation of when the service was performed.

I attached the .pdf they sent me in case anyone else was interested in the fine print. It says that it's for bikes purchased 3/1-3/31, 2010. Does this mean they change it from month to month? ???

Not to my knowledge If you have the receipts to prove you did the maintenence then they cannot refuse your warranty. The dates are probably revised every month for legal reasons.

Thanks for sharing this info with us. I will keep this in mind when I eventually get a Gen II.
