ANYONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THERE 05 STARTER 212 MILES STARTER SEEMS TO SPIN A COUPLE OF SECONDS AFTER BIKE STARTS AND MAKES A SLIGHT NOISE LIKE SOMETHING IS LOOSE WHEN MOTOR IS RUNNING

No trouble here so far. My '05 just turned 2800 miles. It's under warranty so get it back to the dealer.

almost 10000 miles on mine , no starter problems ? get it to the dealer

I've had mine for almost a month and had that same thing begin after 700 miles. Just have not had time to take it in yet. Iam at 3k miles and it's still about the same except on colder days. It will be covered for replacement though. Must be a bad batch.

Weak bettery maybe? I have 6000 miles on my 05 and sometimes I think my battery is a POS.

bad battery would cause bendix to not engage fully resulting in a nasty grinding noise. The starters you guys have must be defective.

You should get it to the dealer for replacement while still covered

just picked up last month want to get a few more miles on it before i take it in damn snow 2" to 4" more tonight

Sounds like starter drive is going out.
