Note to check bulbs... my epic fail

I spent about an hour late last night soldering and rewiring my turn signal bulb that had been intermittently going out. Put the cowl back to test and nothing. So I cut the wires to test, check the continuity, nothing. Change bulbs, still nothing. I check the other bulb and it works... so I'm looking at the bulb I had on and a spare I just tested. Filament looks fine... oh, wait, it kind of moved when I shook it.

Two bad bulbs.......

I know there's a light-bulb changing joke in here somewhere. ???

Bulbs can fool you. A great way to check is flick the bulb with your finger. It usually causes the filaments to separate and you'll be able to see that. I learned that the hard way rtying to figure out why with an ohm meter the dang thing has continuity then when you try and light it, it doesn't work.???Wardie

Dont be so hard on yourself. It was just a fail, not an epic fail. An epic fail would have been spending hundreds of dollars to replace the electrical system.
